Russell Clark’s 28 year career has spanned multiple schools, programs, classrooms, and leadership roles. With a B.A. in English, a B.S. in Secondary Education, an M.Ed. in Education, and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership, he brings both depth and breadth to his work.
Over 17 remarkable years in Western Alaska, teaching and living in a remote village along the Yukon River shaped his purpose and his path. The land became the classroom, and education found its rhythm in the Indigenous ways of knowing. Learning was rooted in culture, nourished by community, and sustained through relationships with the ancient places.
As a Waldorf-inspired educator he weaved myth, movement, and art into the rigors of the core curriculum, the heartbeat of his Waldorf Inspired classroom. Students met the world with curiosity, wonder and awe.
These experiences help draw him to the mission of Onward & Upward, and the One Health approach. In every role he’s held, and in every journey he takes, Russell seeks to keep the impulses of his heart at the center of the work. His mantra, “Caring and Kindness Count.”
